SYSPRO Releases New Groundbreaking Version of SYSPRO ERP Software
SYDNEY, Australia - September 12th, 2006
SYSPRO, a leading enterprise business solutions provider, has announced the worldwide release of the latest version of its flagship product, SYSPRO 6.0. SYSPRO 6.0 Issue 010 contains a deep spectrum of added functionality across all areas of the platform – Financial, Distribution and Manufacturing – as well as new customisation capabilities and new modules.
SYSPRO 6.0 Issue 010 exemplifies the SYSPRO philosophy of developing a software product that "simplifies the success" of its users. This latest release offers a number of technological enhancements including a new user interface that is flexible and adaptable and which empowers users to tailor the product to suit their needs. A major benefit to this customisation capability is that it is version independent and easily deployed across the enterprise.
In addition, SYSPRO 6.0 Issue 010 debuts SYSPRO Reporting Services, a next generation reporting tool that also incorporates an embedded version of Crystal Reports XI. SYSPRO Reporting Services offers inter-active reporting with scheduling and archiving capabilities that greatly enhance audit capabilities. Reports and themes are easily customised with the ability to translate headings into specific languages for companies with international operations.
SYSPRO 6.0 Issue 010 also introduces Electronic Signatures which provides the option of authenticating operators as they are processing transactions. Electronic Signatures generates a log for auditing purposes, plus provides the facility to activate triggers for notification via email or for integration to third-party products or custom procedures. Electronic Signatures assists in meeting compliancy requirements of a number of regulatory bodies.
SYSPRO 6.0 Issue 010 has an impressive list of feature enhancements that extends throughout the product from improved financial visibility and expanded multi-site management, to accurate control and costing of co- and by-products. Additional functionality in the traceability of items further strengthens the SYSPRO offering for specific vertical niche markets such as pharmaceutical, medical device and electronic manufacturers.
Shaun Butler, General Manager, SYSPRO Asia Pacific, emphasises that all the changes in SYSPRO 6.0, Issue 010 were made in direct response to user feedback gathered by the company’s offices worldwide. "So many of these enhancements have been added to help customers improve business efficiencies, reduce ad-hoc development time and decrease the on-going cost of IT projects.
"Issue 010, which has been two years in the making, is SYSPRO's most important release in the past five years. The radical improvements to the user interface, the addition of meaningful functionality and the huge leap forward in reporting capability represented by SYSPRO Reporting Services make this software release very significant. These technological developments are beneficial to our customers and to SYSPRO itself, because they allow us to develop the product faster and add to an already robust solution; all of which has an immense influence on future direction and development," says Butler.
"As well, Issue 010 offers future-proof customisation by giving clients control over the look and feel and providing the ability to incorporate their own data and processes without changing source code. The result is a more efficient business operation. SYSPRO Reporting Services also improves productivity by using our business objects as a layer to derive data, thereby protecting the customer from having to redo their reports every time there is a new version of SYSPRO. These two features alone make Issue 010 groundbreaking!"
